That's a feature, not a bug. The reason it breaks is that the result is a nested array and it is very difficult to keep track of line break locations within a nested array. For example, at the point we're displaying the nested array, we don't even know if (say) 37 is a number (no break within) or character vector (can break within) so a nested array is treated as breakable anywhere.

FWIW, APL2 and Dyalog demonstrate the same break-in the-middle as does NARS2000.
