limit error ???

If we don't know about 'em, we can't fix 'em.

limit error ???

⌈/'ab'
LIMIT ERROR

If this is not supported, then I think it should be a domain error.

But couldn't it be supported, and give 'b'?
It seems to me that would be consistent with ⍋ working on characters.

Thanks for the bug report. It's fixed in the latest Alpha version:

http://www.nars2000.org/download/binaries/alpha/

The purpose of the Grade functions is to group like objects together, and on characters, using a Collating Sequence to aid in that purpose. Min/Max functions don't have any such purpose and don't have a way to specify a CS.

In a broader context, while we all might agree on ⌈/'ab' because 'a' < 'b', that provides no guidance on what to do with ⌈/'aâáäàã' or ⌈/'∅⌽⍉⊖○'.
