Cut, paste in NARS2000, execute and see for yourself. I do not know if I did anything wrong (⎕sysver : 0.5.5.1 Wed May 17 20:34:18 2017 Win/64)

This behavior is normal. The syntax coloring code automatically colors certain characters such as beEgijklopsx if they appear next to a digit so as to make Point Notation stand out. You may turn off this feature by going to "Edit | Customize... | Syntax Coloring" and change the colors for "Point Notation Separator" and/or "Hypercomplex Notation" to be the same as the "Window Text" settings.
